Welcome to Balancefactor.com

This web site has been developed as an online resource for The Balance Factor, a collection of stories, articles, and books which examine the concept of finding more balance in daily life. This message is a part of a greater vision designed to help guide people towards more balance by examining and discussing our thoughts, choices, and behaviors.

I first created this site in the Fall of 2003 and it contains highlights from many years of traveling, journaling, life experiences, and conversations with amazing people. This site is just a very small sample of a much larger project, one that I have been focusing on for over 10 years. As you explore some of the information on this site you may find the hidden portals to my archived pages where you can read some of my past insights, stories, and see some of the products I've designed (*hint: check my Balance Blog archived entries for keywords and links). Information may be dated and pages formatted differently, but passion moves very quickly! Just like life, sometimes we need to look for the "message in the mess."

My goal is to have the first of the three-book series released in the winter of 2010. If you'd like to subscribe to my mailing list, I can keep you informed of book release dates, upcoming speaking engagements, and other exciting activities as they unfold.

Below are brief descriptions and design proofs for each book in the series (click on the images for enlarged versions).

Michael's India Blog

In the Zone (new personal blog)

"Michael is a unique and electrifying individual who brings a refreshing approach to the corporate world. He has figured out how to balance life, work, and spirituality and can convey that to others in such a way that after a brief conversation with him one also feels more balanced. He brings this approach to his profession and personal interactions naturally and without judgment. In fact, he does not make any effort to push his philosophy on others. Like all good teachers, the way he lives his life provides the incentive to follow his lead. Michael is making a difference in this fast-paced, complicated world. By interacting with him you'll be inspired to do the same."
